Why Raven and Butterfly? 

Growing up I loved story telling, even went to college for literature, so symbolism is very important to me in my life and my religion, I am Pagan. Ravens symbolize wisdom, affection, and powers of healing. Many times Ravens are portrayed as dark foreboding creatures or as the darkness itself but in many places around the world Ravens are seen as the bringers of light, what leads to the light, creatures that will see all time, whether it be dark or light. Butterflies on the other hand are both beautiful and mysterious. in many places butterflies symbolize change, hope, and life. They live an absolutely beautiful, albeit short, life full of dramatic changes. They remind people about how transformation and change can bring beauty to life. 

Together they bring a unique meaning of healing, change, light, dark, wisdom, and hope. And that is what my boutique is to me. It brought me light in the dark, taught me how to change and gave me wisdom and hope with an endeavor I never thought possible. I only hope that the things I make can help someone heal or bring a little light into their life, maybe even change it for the better. 

Why Did you start the Boutique?

The simple answer is I was tired of being allergic to soaps. My family suffers from multiple chemical allergies and I decided one day that I was done suffering and wanted to learn how to make bar soap for myself so I knew what was in it. Then it took off, I found it calming and my ADHD hasn't let go of any of the possibilities I can add into the sop. Now I make a little something for everyone and I enjoy every time I hear that someone no longer had do deal with skin problems because of my recipes.
